Wilma Dee Spangler

Wilma Dee Spangler of Stillwater, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Monday January 6, 2025. She was 93 years old. Born on a farm four miles west of Ralston, Oklahoma and twelve miles north of Pawnee, Oklahoma at "Moffitt's Corner" on September 3, 1931, she was the daughter of Leonard and Dorothy (Barnes) Moffitt.

 Wilma attended Ralston High School and graduated in 1950. She attended Oklahoma State University until her marriage to Charles Leslie Myers in August of 1952. They had one child, David Scott Myers. 

 Wilma and Charles divorced in 1973 and she moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. She worked as an accounting clerk at the Conoco Refinery until her marriage to Carl Spangler in 1992.

 Wilma and Carl moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1992 and she remained there until 2011 when she moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law. 

 She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David Scott Myers and Lora Myers of Stillwater, Oklahoma and a number of extended relatives and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Dorothy Moffitt, her brother Merle Wayne Moffitt, her 1st husband Charles Myers and her 2nd husband Carl Spangler.

 Wilma was a Christian and was a member of several different churches including Saint Pauls United Methodist Church in Ponca City, Forest Park Christian Church in Tulsa and Highland Park United Methodist Church in Stillwater. 

 She was an active member of the Tulsa Town Tolers while living in Tulsa and enjoyed decorative painting. Wilma loved to make crafts, sew and quilt and had several craft shows out of her home while living in Tulsa. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener and enjoyed canning and freezing the produce. Wilma also enjoyed baking and cooking.

 Wilma was a loving mother and will be missed by all that knew her.
