William Keeton Johnson Sr. (AKA Scooter or Skizzie) was born March 4, 1951 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Joseph C. Johnson and Ruth Ella Callaway Johnson Bell. He passed from his life on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma having reached the age of 66 years, 3 months, and 19 days.
He graduated from Pawnee Public Schools with the Class of 1969. He attended college and also served in the United States Army. Several years later he moved back to Pawnee and was employed at Moss Chevrolet. He was affiliated with the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Then he eventually made his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. He loved spending time with his kids and family.
He is survived by his daughter Lynetta Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her children Jamicka Johnson and Javeon Johnson; his son William Keeton Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and his children William Keeton Johnson III and Xylon Johnson; his son Jessie Johnson and daughter Sierra Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his God Mother Ramona Jean Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Four sisters Katherine “Kitty “Stewart of Pawnee, Oklahoma; Leann Bell of Pawnee, Oklahoma; Tammy Todd of Pawnee, Oklahoma; Lois Powell of Wichita, Kansas. Two brothers Joshua Bell of Wichita, Kansas and Cornelius “Chico” Bell of Wichita, Kansas. Two uncles Henry Johnson of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Alvin Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. One aunt Bobbie Pitts of Stillwater, Oklahoma; plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
William was preceded in death by his father Joseph Johnson, his mother Ruth Ella Bell, step-father Cornelius “Bootney” Bell, ;his sisters: Fay Issac, Ella Johnson, Lurlene Sevillano, Quilla Dean Bell Turner; brothers: : Willis Davis, James Johnson, Terry Johnson, Chris Bell, and Kevin Johnson; nephews: Gaylon Stewart and Duel Turner Jr; uncles; Harvey Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Homer Johnson; aunt; Louise Abington and Lucille Elston; Grandparents Chester and Ijetta Green , Joshua Callaway and Mr. & Mrs. Smokey Johnson.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, Pawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home & Cremation , Pawnee, Oklahoma.
