Wayne Thomas Pierce passed away March 8, 2020. Wayne was born October 19, 1948 to Thomas Robert and Hattie Lee (Robinson) Pierce in Yale, Oklahoma. He spent his early years growing up in Yale, Pawnee and Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School.
Wayne worked for and retired with nearly 40 years from the BNSF railroad.
Wayne was an avid hunter, fisherman and team roper. He spent time teaching both of his sons to hunt, fish and rope and also helped pass on this knowledge to his grandsons Zac & Gavin. He also enjoyed coaching youth sports and coached his sons Dennis & Matt in baseball and his granddaughter Mattey in softball. He was involved with Lockwood & McFarland Auction company for a time after retirement using his auctioneer skills that he learned when he attended auctioneer school earlier in life.
Wayne was beloved by all and never met a stranger!
Wayne is survived by the love of his life Vickie (Colclazier) Pierce of the home, two sons Dennis Pierce and his wife Michelle, and Matthew Pierce, grandsons Zachary Pierce, Gavin Pierce and one granddaughter Mattey Pierce, and one great granddaughter Delilah Pierce. Wayne is also survived by many other relatives and special family friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Mary.
