Virgil Lee Malone, 87 passed away from this life June 13, 2019. Virgil was born in Red Rock, Oklahoma on Oct. 17, 1931. Virgil lived in Morrison Ok. He attended school and helped his mother out by working in the fields. Virgil met his wife, Dorothy Banning in Pawnee. They were married for 46 1/2 years. He enlisted in the National Guard as a reserve of the Army and fought in Korea from 1950 to 1953. Virgil worked at McDonald-Douglas after returning from Korea. He retired from Moore Business Forms in Stillwater after 27 years. After retirement he worked part time for Pawnee Public Schools at the High School in Maintenance. He really enjoyed being around the kids. Virgil was an active member of First Christian Church in Pawnee and served as a Sunday school Teacher, Deacon and Elder. His passions in life included playing his guitar, watching the OU Sooners, Pawnee Black Bears, fishing and mowing several years for the elderly widowed ladies in the neighborhood.

Virgil is survived by his daughters, Virgena Freise and husband Leonard of Wagoner, OK. Cathy Chapman of Morrison. Grandchildren John Freise and wife, Emily of Tahlequah; Jeremy Freise and wife Cassie of Tahlequah; Christy and Matt Fenton of Jenks; Clint Chapman of Stillwater and Colt Chapman of Morrison; Great Grandchildren: Owen, Ben, and Stella; Greyson and Grant; all of Tahlequah; Mya and Ava Fenton of Jenks; Christopher of California. Two sisters Della Blanchard, Harlingen, TX and Elsie Lee of Vicksburg, MS. Plus numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Malone; parents Delbert and Leamer Lee Malone; 3 brothers and two sisters.

There will be a family graveside service at a later date.
