Steven Joe Schultz

Steven Joe Schultz passed away peacefully in his country home on March 4, 2020, at the age of 70. Steve was born on September 3rd, 1949 in Perry, Oklahoma to Harry E. and May M. Schultz. He attended school in Billings, Oklahoma and graduated from Billings in 1967. Steve worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at OG&E for many years until his retirement in 2005. Steve married Jean and together they had Troy and Shelly. Steve loved his children very much. In another season of his life, Steve met, fell in love with, and happily married Charlotte. Charlotte and Steve have spent the past 32 years together, helping raise many grand and great-grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.

Steve loved hunting, fishing, and planting in the garden while enjoying most of his time outdoors. His greatest loves in life included spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and sitting on his front porch watching hummingbirds with his beloved wife, Charlotte. He was an ornery, goofy, stubborn, and sometimes stinky, Papa, Dad, and Husband who we all loved very much. If you had spent time at Papa Steve and Grandma Charlotte’s house, you were familiar with Papa’s famous thin pancakes, and no one makes them quite as good as Steve did. Steve lived a life that was filled with vehicles, cookouts, laughs that come from the pit of your stomach, and more love than ever. Steve is one of ten of the Schultz kids. He is proceeded in death by siblings Rodina, Harry Jr., Roy, Kay, Cleo, and John, and his parents Harry and May Schultz. Steven Joe Schultz is survived by his wife Charlotte Schultz, and his kids Troy and Jill Schultz, Shelly and Matt Lumbers, and Aaron and Reva Meyers. He leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren, Trevor, Trysta, and Shelbi Schultz, Ayden and Ashtyn Lumbers, Donna and Richard Meyers, Miranda, Lori, and JT Tipton, along with heart full of great-grandchildren; Asher, Richard and Carter, AJ, Jace, and Wyatt. Steve is also survived by his brother Darrell Schultz, and sisters Joyce DeBoard and Naomi Schultz.
