Stanley Eugene Fields was born April 18th, 1951 in Fairfax Oklahoma to Ira and Marie Fields. He is descended from Ben Maytubby who was a full-blood Chickasaw of Mead, OK and Mary LoneChief Maytubby who was a full-blood Pawnee of the Skidi band. Throughout his younger years he attended schools in Fairfax, Pawnee, Shawnee, Pawhuska, Bartlesville, Enid, Hennessey, Chickasha, and Chilocco in Oklahoma. He married Janice Marie Iron on January 8th, 1972 in Pawnee, OK. After they married, they lived in Tishomingo where he attended Murray State College and enjoyed fishing often behind his grandfather’s house at Blue River. They then moved to Ardmore before moving to Okmulgee where he finished vocational training to become a draftsman at OSU- Okmulgee, graduating in 1975. In 1976 his first daughter Julie Marie was born, followed by his son Jeremy Ryan in 1980, and his youngest daughter Alyssa Nicole in February of 1991. They moved to Tulsa, and then bought a house in Collinsville in 1983, where he lived the remainder of his life. He worked for RW Holland for over 40 years in Tulsa up until his retirement when he was 62. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching OU football and softball, and attending family gatherings throughout the years.
He is survived by his mother Marie Fields of Glenpool, OK, daughter Julie and husband Chris Sleeper of Owasso, OK and their children Abby, Caden, Dalani, Talan, and Cheyanne; his son Jeremy and wife Collins Fields of Fort Collins, CO and their children Brooklyn, Harmony, Jaela, and Iyotanla “Bug;” his daughter Alyssa Fields and partner Marlin Miller of Pawnee, OK and their children Nova and Isla; his siblings Ava Fields of San Bernardino, CA, Mary Jo and her husband Matt Tetrick of Catoosa, OK, brother Ira “Poncho” and his wife Mary Fields of Maramec, OK, Michelle “Hey-You” Lake of Pawnee, OK, and former spouse of 29 years Janice Fields of Collinsville, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
