Shannon Darlene Horsechief-Gwin was born to Algar and Geneva Horsechief in Pawnee, Oklahoma on August 8, 1969. The youngest of five children, she soon established herself as a highly unique individual. She soon developed a deep appreciation for music of all genres, it was this appreciation that led to her discovering Led Zeppelin at the age of 12 thanks to a priest. This discovery would become a strong passion that everyone would remember her by. She soon met Lyle Walt Gwin while visiting her sister Mary at school. They would eventually marry and have three kids: Dallas Page Horsechief, Lyshan Van Der Rhys and Ailsa Rehbekka Gwin. Shannon had many accomplishments that she was proud of. The highest of which was raising her three kids more or less by herself, being a Marine's wife, and surviving breast cancer. She was discovered in her home October 27, 2021, having passed away in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, and her brother Edgar Horsechief. She is survived by her parents, two brothers, her sister, and her three children: Dallas of St. Paul, Nebraska, Lyshan of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Ailsa of Stillwater, Oklahoma, as well as seven grandchildren.
