Rose Weaver, 74, passed from this life June 24, 2019, at her home in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
She was born on July 8, 1944, in Clovis, California, she was the daughter of Raymond and Rosie Edna (Perry) Turner. Rose began life in Clovis California, being the middle child. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She later spent a short stent in Modesto California working on a dairy farm and raising her first born. Rose later gained employment with General Foods in Modesto, California until She was united in marriage to Glen on December 31, 1981. She then started her in home day in Clovis California in the 80’s, this is when she found her true passion. She was a one of kind lady, she was full of life and loved everyone she came into contact with. She has raised so many Children over the years, and they all thought of her as their grandmother. She then moved to Pawnee, Oklahoma in 1988, to be closer to her family. At that time Rose began working with her sister at the doughnut shop, and began planting her roots! She loved helping people and anytime she could get a rise out of someone she did so. Several years later Rose started Weaver's Day Care in her home. For over 30 years Rose tended to numerous children. She served three home cooked meals a day and was a mom and Nana to many children in the area. Her daycare was not the ordinary daycare, she became family to the children and parents. She would do anything for anyone of them. She definitely had a ‘loud bark” but lacked the bite. Kids enjoyed their time with her. During those many years she not only raised her two children Wayne and Glena, but she helped raise Glen’s siblings. In 2016, Rose retired from the Day Care to help provide and tend to Bill.
Rose had a heart of "Gold." She loved helping others and spent numerous hours volunteering at the nursing home. Making sure every resident had someone that cared for them as if she was their family. Her favorite pastime was quilting and baking. She would spend hours upon hours making quilts and give them to others for special occasions. Many considered her a pillar of the community, helping anyone who needed it. We are certain that she is caring for all the children and making quilts for all of heaven.
Survivors are her husband Glen Weaver of the home, mother Rosie Turner of Pawnee, Oklahoma, daughter Glena Doris Rose Hoffman and her husband Eric of Stillwater, Oklahoma, son Kenneth Boyd, Jr. of Pawnee, Oklahoma; sister Doris Brown and her husband Bob of Jennings, Oklahoma; brother Sonny Turner and his wife Karen of Pawnee, Oklahoma; one grandson Kobe Hoffman who rose referred to as “his Nana's sweet darling” as well as numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing.
