Randy Dwayne Stokes

Randy Dwayne Stokes of Glencoe OK, passed away on Oct. 21, 2017.
He was born June 12, 1962 in Pawnee OK to Kenneth and Geneva Cannon Stokes. He graduated from Glencoe High School in 1980.

Randy was a lifelong member of the Glencoe Church of Christ. He was devoted to God and spoke of his faith to all friends, family, hospital, rehab center employees and other patients. He often called his year long illness a blessing because he was able to reach out and speak about his Christian faith to more people than he had previously in his life. He stated many times that he would willingly choose to go through his final illness if it meant that even one more person would be in heaven. His co-workers often speak of his devotion to God, his honesty, his kindness and his humbleness.

Randy worked at Mercury Marine in Stillwater for nearly 30 years until the plant was closed in 2012. He began on the assembly line and worked and trained until he became a manufacturing engineer.

Randy also worked for Asco Aerospace when the plant was opening in Oct 2012 until his illness in Oct 2016. He also lived in Belgium 6 months for training and has many Belgians friends.

Randy is survived by his wife of the home Tammy Harless Stokes, his son Jarrett Stokes and stepchildren Randi Jackson, Meggie Chapman, Sam Martin, Joe Martin, Jennifer Tyler, and Kelly Wheatly. His grandchildren Riley and Preslee Stokes, Laney and Kyler Chapman, Justus, Rosalie, and Graham Martin, Lexi Wheatly, Piper Kaylor, Nova and Madison Tyler. Randy is also survived by three older brothers and sister. Kenneth (Sonny) Stokes, Larry Stokes, Ricky Stokes, and Peggy Grim.
