Mildred Irene (Warren) Dilbeck
Millie, as she was known by loved ones and friends, was born on June 29, 1947 on the family farm near Ralston, OK. She was the third and youngest child of Dee and Annabelle Warren and grew up loving the farm and adventures outdoors.
Millie attended Ralston Public Schools, graduating from Ralston High in 1965. While attending a basketball game at the high school, she met her future husband, and the love of her life, Robert Dilbeck.
Millie and Robert married on September 22, 1967 and settled as newlyweds in Ponca City, OK where she worked for Conoco Phillips as a secretary.
When Robert joined the military, this small town girl accepted the challenge of moving every few years and raising their three daughters on military bases and in new towns. No matter where they went, Millie filled the house with love and laughter. Her loving spirit also enabled her to form life-long friendships everywhere they moved.
Millie and Robert moved to Loveland, CO in 1989 after he retired from the military and they would reside here for 10 ½ years. While Robert was away on trips as an airline pilot, Millie worked as an administrative secretary at US West and maintained a loving home for her children.
In 2000, she and Robert moved to Skiatook, OK to be closer to her aging parents, who still resided on the farm in Ralston. Millie truly thrived being back home and helping around the farm while being close to family. Following the passing of both her parents, Millie and Robert decided to move closer to their children and grandchildren.
In 2010, they moved to Mesa, AZ. The consistently warm weather enabled Millie to enjoy even more time with her family to include playing in the pool, at the park, the zoo, and other fun activities. Holidays were spent gathered around her table, which she had decorated and filled with everyone’s favorite foods.
Millie loved to do crafts, bake, and sew. She joined a quilting group to help create quilts for charity. She loved to be out in the sun and would walk laps in the park with her beloved schnauzer, Sadie, at her side.
Millie’s family was her world and she never failed to fill their days with faith, love, and goodness. Her grandchildren were her “sweeties” and her world revolved around them. She attended Cole’s football and soccer games and she taught Brooke how to bake, do crafts, and sew. She would spend hours watching them swim, play outside, or watch silly movies. Her love for them was immeasurable. She was an amazing mother and an even better grandmother.
Millie’s strength and spirit never faltered, her beauty was not just of the outside, but the kind that also radiates from within and touches those around her.
After a brief illness, Millie passed from this life to be with her Savior on February 2, 2020. She is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Kim, son-in-law Shawn, daughters Amy and Lisa, grandchildren Cole & Brooke, brother James (Jim) Warren of Derby, KS, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She will be deeply missed.
