Metha Malee Cottle

Metha Malee Cottle went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 10:15 pm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Metha was born November 27, 1948 to Fred Elton and Frances (Price) Bruns in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
The first years of her life were spent on a farm in Payne County, northeast of Glencoe, Oklahoma. She moved to Pawnee while in the 7th grade, graduating from Pawnee High School in 1967. She attended college, at Central State (now University of Central Oklahoma). Worked for Kerr McGee in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was working for Central State where she met and married Russell Cottle on August 5, 1977 . In 1981 she followed Russell to Pawhuska, OK where he was employed as a Deputy Sheriff for Osage County. Pawhuska was her home for the next 30 years. After retiring from Osage Federal in 2010. She and Russell sold their home and returned to Pawnee to be near her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Frances Bruns, a daughter Sheri Lee, sister and brother in laws, Connie and Bob Long, father-in-law Bob Cottle and brother-in-law Randy Cottle.
She is survived by; her husband Russell Cottle of Pawnee, OK, step daughter Erica and husband Marc West of Edmond, OK, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Alice Cottle of Pawnee, OK, grandchildren Daylon, Carson and Kaylon West, Kennedy, Kristine, Klaire, Riley, River and Klover Cottle, and brother and sister in laws Rick and Linda Cottle of Coweta, OK, sister-in-law Carissa Cottle of Shidler, OK plus a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Pawnee First Baptist Church in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will be held at the Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
