Melvin Phillip Collins III (Bud) was born on December 27th, 1961. Melvin made his Journey to the Light on August 12th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Emalyne Collins, three sisters, Debra Overland, Sophina Williams, and Alexis Warrior, two brothers, John E. Buffalohead and Matthew H. Collins.
He attended the New Hope Christian Fellowship Church and attended the Ponca City schools.
Bud’s favorite past-time was watching karate movies and listening to music on his little radio. He loved shooting hoops in his younger years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bud always did landscaping jobs, roofing, and hauling hay. He worked for 5 years for Barney’s Barbershop renovating rentals.
Bud always said his nieces and nephews were his children. That’s just how his heart was. Let us remember Bud just the way he lived his life, full of joy and lots of laughter! Bud was a quiet, humble, and simple man. It didn’t take much to make him smile.
Bud leaves behind two sisters, Laura Jones and family of Oklahoma City, OK, and Melvina Collins and family of Ponca City, OK, and one brother Mark Collins and family of Pawnee, OK.
The family appreciates all the words of expression and thoughts sent for Bud.
