On Wednesday November 11, 2020, from her home in Cleveland OK, Mary Alice (Spears) Bode, 90, went to be with the Lord.

Mary was born April 1, 1930 at her family home in Blackburn OK to Richard and Viola Dan (Lytle) Spears. She was the 5th born of seven siblings.

Mary was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother, and so much more. She graduated from Blackburn in 1949. After, she worked as a housekeeper for several years before marrying the love of her life Oscar Bode on December 09, 1955 in Pawnee, OK. She began her role of homemaker for her children Calvin and Teresa before moving to their farm in Maramec, OK and having their third child Retha. After the death of her husband Mary continued living on the farm until moving to Cleveland, OK in 2002.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Mary enjoyed puzzles, Thunder basketball games and sight seeing. She had a passion for cooking and also enjoyed having family together for Uno and dominoes.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Viola Dan Spears, her husband Oscar Bode, six siblings Ima, Pearl, Lonnie, Zoe, Darrell, and Glen and grandson Brent Roberts.

She is survived by her son Calvin and wife Lucy Bode, two daughters Teresa Penny and Retha Clark and several grand and great grand children, nieces and nephews.

Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
