Mark David Smith

Mark David Smith was born on Oct 3, 1965 at Pawnee, OK. His parents were George and Connie Simnett Smith of rural Pawnee. Mark attended Pawnee public schools and Indian Meridian Votech. He studied culinary arts and always love to cook. He later worked at the Pawnee Hospital as a phlebotomist. At one point in time he and his friend Mary Willis attended truck driving school. Those who knew Mark would never ride with him in a big truck. He drove across the country for a while before returning home to Pawnee. Mark had been in ill health after surviving a stroke many years ago. At the time of his death, he was living at Southern Oaks nursing facility in Pawnee. The family would like to thank the staff there for caring for him these past several years. We would also like to thank Carol Heisler for checking on him. Mark was proceeded in death by his mother Connie Smith. He is survived by his father George Smith and brother Mike Smith and wife Teresa of Pawnee, niece Casey Smith Steele and nephew Justin Smith both of Pawnee. He is also survived by uncle Pete Smith and his wife Phyllis of Perry plus numerous cousins. 

His services will be conducted at the Bell cemetery on Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m.
