Mark Randal Fielder, 70, passed peacefully Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by friends and family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Martha (Brien) Fielder of the home in Canadian, OK, daughter Tracey and husband Eddy Scott of Ralston, OK, daughter Kerri and her husband JW Webb of Norman, OK, and Steven Creager and his wife Juli of Pawnee, OK, Brothers Larry Campbell of Ohio, Floyd (Skip) Fielder of Arizona, Kevin Fielder of Pauls Valley, OK, and a sister Debbie Albert of Canadian, OK.
The joy of Mark's life was being a proud Papa. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Tyler, Payton, and Trenton Scott of Ralston; DeShaun and Kiana Fielder of Norman; Chase Creager of Pawnee; Kaitlyn Russell and husband Tyler of Minco and one great granddaughter Russell arriving in April.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Eva (Carey) Fielder and Lloyd Fielder, a sister Angela Christine, and 2 brothers Paul Scott and Gary Campbell.
Mark was a proud member of the Purcell Dragons class of 1966 and then began his service in the United States Navy. He proudly served aboard the aircraft carriers USS Ticonderoga and Constellation from 1966 to 1970. Following his naval service, Mark was employed by Oklahoma Gas and Electric and then WS Mechanical until his retirement.
Mark retired to the Windsor Shores community on Lake Eufaula and served on the community board and enjoyed drinking coffee, working on carpentry projects, fishing, boating, and Wii golf tournaments with all of his friends from the "hood" as he called it. He could always be found surrounded by a group of neighbors or hosting friends and family for weekend lake adventures.
Mark was a member of the Eufaula Masonic Lodge
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 12 th, 11 AM at Poteet's Funeral Home in Pawnee. Burial will follow at Masham Cemetary.
