Margaret “Maggie” Ann Kline (née Collins) died peacefully on May 8th, 2019 in Pawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 83.
Margaret is survived by her children, Rhonda and David Dietz of Jenks, Cindy Beagle of Pawnee, Billie and Dev McCabe of Tulsa, Robert and Debbie Adams of Pawnee, step sons Marty and Tracy Kline of Pawnee, Kris Kline and Mona Moak of Pawnee and step daughter Julie and Chris Brown of Enid, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Kline, Jr. of Pawnee.
Margaret was born on June 7th, 1935 in Shattuck. Oklahoma to JW and Lillian Collins. She graduated from Pawnee High School in 1953. She married Bill Adams after high school. Over the next few years the couple welcomed four children into their home. In 1975 she married Leonard Kline, Jr. of Pawnee. Her children remember her as a hardworking, witty, stubborn mother who encouraged them to live their life to the fullest.
Margaret was an accomplished seamstress and made many quilts and clothes for her children and grandchildren. She was a humorous individual who loved baseball and who was passionate about her Texas Rangers. She worked as a legal secretary for local attorneys and retired from Pawnee Municipal Hospital. Maggie was a regular golfer at the Pawnee Golf Course and she and Leonard traveled throughout the USA on their trusty Harley Davidson. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pawnee serving several years as the church secretary.
A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 AM, May 10th 2019 at First Christian Church of Pawnee. Pastor John Coker will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Margaret’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the First Christian Church of Pawnee at PO Box 207, Pawnee OK 74058. The family would like to thank Judith Karman Hospice and Stillwater Medical Center for their care and dedication. A special thank you to Robert, Debbie and their family for their time and devotion in caring for Margaret.
