Loyd Allen Wilson

Loyd Wilson born on November 21, 1940 to Albert Lewis Wilson and Edith May(Olyer) Wilson, passed away on the evening of August 19, 2021.

He grew up in the Blackburn area where he was taken in by the Osborn and Funkhouser families. This jump started his career as a carpenter, and began his passion for the mountains of Colorado as these families began taking him hunting there at an early age.

He married the love of his life Beverly Edwards on September 29, 1967. This began an amazing union that started a family and eventually led to moving to Colorado in 1977. His work ethic and persistence to succeed produced a long and bountiful career in Western Colorado.

He served his country proudly and was a true patriot. He was an amazing husband, father, papa, and friend to many. The strong silent type, and quite the prankster, his love was not always conventionally shown, but his legacy for helping people in need stretches far and wide across the country.

He was preceded in death by his father Albert Lewis Wilson, mother Edith May(Olyer) Wilson, and brother Albert Ray Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Beverly Wilson, son Greg Wilson with his wife Tara and children Celisse and Ivy. Also son Troy Wilson with his children Bella, Baylor, and Holt, and their mother Stacy Godberson with bonus grandchild Insley. Also a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
