Loretta Joy Bratton, age 73, formerly of Tulsa, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. She was born to Franklin Bee and Leona Jennie Weaver on June 11, 1943 on their family farm, east of Pawnee, OK. Joy attended Skedee grade school from 1949-1957 and then attended Pawnee High School, graduating in 1961. She grew up attending Skedee Methodist Church and gave her life to Christ as a young girl. Joy owned a ranch and was a legal secretary for many years in Pawnee, OK. She later was employed with the Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma City, OK. She met the love of her life and married Max Bratton. They owned and operated Madden Steel Buildings until they retired. Joy loved to entertain and host special events for family and friends. She loved her nieces and nephews as her own and attended many of their activities. She was preceded in death by her husband; Max Bratton, her parents; Franklin Bee and Leona Jennie Weaver, mother-in-law; Ethel Bratton, brother; Delman Weaver, brother-in-laws; David Scheihing and Jim McGee, niece; Susan Weaver. Joy is survived by Brenda Scheihing her sister and Jerry Hallum of Muskogee, her sister Myrna McGee of Stillwater, three step-children; Kimberly Skinner, Dawn Varner and Mark Jackson, many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. Services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Eshelman's Chapel at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, OK. , with Senior Adult Minister Chan Ray officiating.
