Linda Jean Fuss 1944-2022

Linda Jean Fuss, 78, of Maramec, Oklahoma was born on June 4, 1944, in Madill, OK to Bill and Alma Fern Huebsch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, RoJane Gilmore. She passed away in her home December 9, 2022. She died peacefully in her sleep. Linda married the love of her life on December 20, 1964 in Madill, Oklahoma. They met at Murray State College in Tishamingo, OK and became college sweethearts. They were approaching 58 years of blissful married life this month. Together Philip and Linda had three children: Paul, Tricia, and Mitchell. Linda is survived by her husband Philip Fuss, of the home; children: Paul Fuss and wife, Kathy, Cleveland, OK; daughter, Tricia Fuss Davis, Drumright, OK; and son, Mitchell Fuss, and wife Shelby, Maramec, OK; grandchildren: Austyn Fuss, Karli Fuss, and Gavin Fuss; Shealy Davis, MarKaylin Smith and husband Shane Smith, and Mikyah Davis; Brylee Fuss and Brooke Fuss. She was Aunt Linda to several nieces and nephews. Linda was an Army wife in the early years of her marriage. She spent 28 years as an ag teacher’s wife serving most of those years in Keota, OK and Red Rock, OK. She took a job as a teacher’s aide in the kindergarten classroom when daughter, Tricia, started school in 1976 in Keota. From that time, she worked as a librarian’s aide for many years and was high school secretary from Red Rock/Frontier Public Schools where she retired. After retirement from the school, Linda cared for her mother-in-law for a time and she focused on sewing and baking while she invested in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was a homemaker and very accomplished at it.
