Lillie Marie Brant
Lillie Marie RealRider Cummings Brant accepted the hand of the Lord and entered his Heavenly Kingdom on March 4, 2024, at the age of 87. Lillie was born August 8, 1936, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Marie Joyce Lane RealRider and Austin RealRider. She was a member of the Chaui Band and participated in many tribal events. Her favorite was playing hand game. She was active in tribal politics and was very proud to have served on the tribal council.
She was married to Lloyd K. Cummings, and together had three children Linda, Lloyd Jr., and Lawrence, as well as bonus children Kenneth, Karen, and Brian. She also had her favorite son-in-law Jimmy Horn and her favorite daughter-in-law Donna Cummings. Her great-grandchildren included Jacquelene(Alfonso), Harris, Sharlae (Rodney), Micah, Terance, Anthony, Isabella, and Tatiana. Sister Bea Kay RealRider She also has a large extended family that she loved very much.
Music was a large part of her life. She credits Aunt Tootz with encouraging her to sing in public at the age of four. She sang in high school competitions and majored in music in college. She sang in the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., with the Tulsa Opera, on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour, and with Don Ho in Hawaii. In Santa Fe, New Mexico, she and her husband Lloyd had a gospel television program. Her gospel singing took her all over North America, Europe, and even sang for a king in Africa.
Later in life she married Art Brant and together they ministered in New York and Canada. She sang praises to the Lord even when she wore oxygen and is likely singing in heaven right now!
