Leota Mae Garner

Leota Mae (Sharp) Garner was born July 15, 1941 in Pawnee, OK. Passed from this earth Sunday, August 5, 2018 Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was one of sixteen children, eight boys and eight girls born to James Leonard and Bessie Victoria (Richardson) Sharp in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

She married Cecil Wayne Garner December 26, 1958. They married fifty-two years before his passing in May 2014. They had three children, Terry Garner and his wife Theresa of Clinton, OK, Randy Garner and his wife Susan of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Lisa Garner and friend Paula Flood of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also had eight grandkids, Tyler, Mathew, Ethan, Zachary, Seth, Hannah, Michael and Cassie. They were her pride and joy.

She enjoyed working in several cafes in Pawnee during her younger years. Loved the public and retired from Hillcrest Pharmacy in Pawnee.

Of the sixteen children, she has one living one brother and two sisters, Charlie and Jo Ann sharp of Ponca City, OK, Norma and Jim Rhoades of Porter, OK, and Kae Bullard of Stillwater, OK. Sister-in-laws includes Nancy Sharp, Medford, OK, Mary Garner, Grove, OK and Donna Garner, Tonkawa, OK. Brother-in-laws, Melvin and Sharon Garner, Broken Arrow, OK, Ray Garner, Mannford, OK and Jr. Skidgel, Pawnee, OK. There are also a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded her in death were her parents, her husband and twelve siblings. She loved her church and would attend when she was able. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pawnee, OK.
