Kevin Lamarr Johnson

Kevin Lamarr Johnson of Montrose, CO passed away in Guthrie, OK on 2/10/18 at the age of 62

Kevin is survived by his son Jason Johnson, Daughter-In-Law Candace Johnson and Grandson Connor Lamarr Johnson of Guthrie, OK; Siblings--Tommy Morgan of Kansas, Teresa Kang of Kansas, April Johnson of California, and Sherry Johnson of California; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Juanita Johnson and Raymond Johnson.

Kevin was born in Seoul South Korea and adopted as a small child by Juanita and Raymond Johnson in Wichita, KS. He later joined the ARMY where he served as an executive chef, stateside and in Germany, medals and honors received included National Defense Medal/Marksman and Qualification Badge in Hand Grenades.

Kevin had a passion for cooking, camping and fishing and would spend all of his free time at the lake with his son and friends. He would also spend hours on the phone with his only son, Jason, and was incredibly proud when he became a grandfather in December 2018.

A funeral is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday February 23rd, 2018 at Poteet Funeral Home in Pawnee, OK with viewing from 9a-5pm on Friday February 22nd at Poteet Funeral Home. Kevin will be laid to rest in a family plot at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee. The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, calls and messages during this difficult time.
