Joseph James Carson

Joseph James Carson passed away at his home in Tryon, Oklahoma on October 11, 2021. Joseph was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on March 21, 1954 to Frank and Mary (Horseschief) Carson. At the age of 18 enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and proudly served his country for 4 years, as a Lance Corporal in the Vietnam War. After returning home he met Judith Shores and together they had 3 daughters, Phoebe, April, and Samarra. His daughters gave him beautiful grandchildren, Darren, Kyndra, Keynan, and Julia. He was also blessed with his great-grandchildren Zoe and k’denze (KJ). Joseph is survived by his brother, George Carson and 3 sisters, Della Perez, Linda Camp, and Frankie Carson. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Randy Carson. Joe loved to play pool and was an active member of the Native American Church. He was a proud Marine who loved his family. He will be missed deeply.
