Jack Edward Barlow passed away peacefully on February 4, 2017 at the age of 76. Jack was born to Edward and Irma (Hendrix) Barlow on September 11, 1940 in Vera, Oklahoma. In 1961, Jack married Sandy (Wyler) and they resided in Maramec. They had three sons together, Scott Barlow, Ada; John Barlow, Maramec; and Jeff Barlow, Glencoe. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Kelsey Barlow-Hancock and Kyle Barlow, along with 5 great grandchildren. Jack and Sandy later divorced.Jack married Connie (Cooper) Barlow in 1979. They resided in Bentonville, Arkansas and together had son, Cody Barlow, Pawnee; and Jack became the stepfather to Tim Spence, Kansas, Oklahoma; Randy Spence, Lockport, New York; and Susan Spence, Austin, Texas. Here he was blessed with a granddaughter, Bailey Spence. Jack also has two daughters, Lori Zoski-Walker of Bartlesville; and Kathy Hale of Ohio. His siblings are sister, Mary Rozell, Skiatook; and Gaile Schmalle, deceased.Jack grew up on his family's dairy farm in Ramona. He spent many hours milking cows and pulling weeds before the cowboy lifestyle took his interest. He spent several years thereafter calf roping, training horses, and rodeoing. Although that lifestyle was profitable, injuries put it to rest in the 1970's where he began trucking cattle and horses for Calhoun Packing Co. Jack immediately became one of the best and most respected buyers on the market, trucking livestock to places as far away as Canada and France. In the 1980's he also produced one of the most attended calf ropings in the area. Although it only lasted a short time, one of Jack's most proud moments was when he purchased the Dewey Sale Barn in 2000.Jack was a very special and talented man. He was active in the horse/cattle industry up until his passing. You'd even find him pacing a small town auction on weekends. He will be tremendously missed.Although his family and friends are left with great sadness, they are also left with wonderful memories, words of wisdom, and the good fortune of having had him a part of their lives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irma, and sister, Gaile.Memorial services will be performed by Bill Bowman and will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Baptist Church in Skiatook, 940 W Oak St.Contributions can be made to the, Jack Barlow Funeral Fund; Armstrong Bank 551 Harrison St., Pawnee OK 74058
