Glenn Harold Lamirand, 94, passed from this life April 28, 2019, in Pawnee, Oklahoma . Glenn was born on a farm in Noble, Oklahoma to Walter and Willie (Hartless) Lamirand, on June 3, 1924.

Glenn attended Canada School in Cleveland County, where he met his wife, Marjorie, in 3rd grade. He graduated from Noble High School and then joined the Army. Upon his return from the Army, he and Marge married and were married 63 years.

After 44 years, Glenn ended his career with the ASCS-USDA in May of 1992. He spent the first 5 years of his tenure in the Oklahoma County office at Oklahoma City before accepting the position of County ASC Executive Director in 1953, a position he held for 39 years, in Pawnee.

During his 44 years with ASCS, Glenn served his State Employee Association as Director, then Vice-President and finally State President of OKASCOE. He also served his national organization as Legislative
Chairman, SW Area Executive Committeeman, Vice-President then the national organization, NASCOE, as President.

Glenn worked in the community with the American Legion, Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Housing Authority, member of the school board of which he was the treasurer for a number of years and as a member of various farm organizations.

In Glenn’s early days, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially his pheasant hunting trips in Kansas with friends. One of his greatest enjoyments was farming and raising cattle. Most of all, Glenn loved his family and loved to tell others about them. His family loved him dearly.

Glenn is survived by his daughters, Rita Woodward and husband, Terry, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Jo Lynn Cash and husband David, of Owasso, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Jonathan Woodward and wife, Elaine of Edmond, OK; ; Chadd Woodward and wife, Monica of Tuttle, OK; Jordan Cash of Owasso, OK and Alex Cash of Owasso, OK; Great grandkids: Madison, Max, Hannah, and Emma of Edmond, OK, and one brother, Marvin Lamirand, Norman, OK, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Lamirand; parents, Walter and Willie Lamirand; and five brothers, Frank Lamirand, Uvalda Lamirand, Hershel Lamirand, Vernon Lamirand, and Lloyd Lamirand.

The funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel, Pawnee, OK with Paul Green officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, OK. Services were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
