Floyd Junior Flowers, 90, passed away July 12, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side. Floyd was born March 24, 1929 in Drumright, Oklahoma on Cherry Street, to Floyd Emmitt and Edna Alice (Patterson) Flowers.
He was raised in Drumright, the family moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma and Floyd joined the military at age 16, he did three tours in Vietnam, Floyd retired after serving 20 years serving his country honorably. After retirement he moved to Glencoe, Floyd held various jobs in the Glencoe area, and then decided to open Ruby's Flea Market and Treasures. Floyd Loved to fix things, and mow the lawn. He Loved his children and grand children and loved spending time with them.
Floyd is survived by the love of his life his wife Ruby Lea (Reeves) Flowers, children Mike Flowers, Shirley Hodges and husband Bill, Carol Flowers, Susan Bastion, Terri Ross, Billy Joe Flowers, sister Betty Payne, 17 grand children, 31 great grand children, and 1 great great grand child.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Edna Flowers, brother; Bill Flowers, brother in law Preston Payne, nephew, Larry Payne, 2 grand children Joshua Uptegraft and Riley Shane Hoffman.
Services will be held Thursday 2:00 P.M. in the Glencoe Church Of Christ with Minister Curt Anderson officiating, burial will follow in the South Glencoe Cemetery. Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
