Floyd Edward Webb Sr.

On Thursday, December 24th, 2020, Floyd Edward Webb Sr., loving husband of 69 years and father, passed away at the age of 87.
Floyd was born February 17, 1933 in Shawnee, OK to Carl and Esther (Holeman) Webb and raised in Morrison, OK with brother Vertis Webb and sister Norma Jean (Webb) McAlister. He married Peggy Jean Collins on October 13, 1951. They lived in Stillwater while Floyd finished his degree in accounting at Oklahoma State University. They then moved to Tulsa. When they retired in 2002, they moved to Pawnee, and then to Owasso in 2017.
Floyd was a United States Army and Naval Reserve Veteran, retired machinist, accountant for the state of Oklahoma, and security guard. Floyd was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. He was kindhearted and led by example. He loved his family and would was always happy to help them out. He loved to travel across country with Peggy in their camper, camp at local lakes, go fishing, and tinker in his shop making fishing lures, cabinets, bookcases, pen and pencil sets, and puzzles. When not working in his shop, you could find him reading a book or napping.
On Sunday mornings, Floyd and Peggy attended church. The couple went on mission trips and led youth camps. Children were their passion, whether newborn babies or teenager, related by blood or not. Floyd and Peggy loved many people, and those who received their love felt it intensely.
Floyd is preceded in death by his father Carl and mother Esther Webb of Glenco, OK; brother Vertis and sister-in-law Betty Webb of Shawnee, OK; daughter-in-law Linda Webb of Sulphur, OK; and grandson Bryan Sanders of Coyle, OK.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean Webb; son Floyd E. (Spike) Webb Jr. and daughter-in-law Ruth of Cleveland, OK; son Lonnie Joe Webb of Sulphur, OK; and daughter Bonita Sanders of Coyle, OK/Palmview TX; grandchildren Tanya (Dillard) Garling, Carol Dillard, Stephanie (Casey) Walker, Floyd E. (Trei) Webb III, Raylene (Sanders) Moore, Amber (Webb) Frye, and Brenda (Sanders) Brandon; great-grandchildren John Storm, Brittany Page (Wells), Brandon Wells, Kurstin Walker, Drei Bernotat, Mason Moore, Christopher Bernotat, Toby Bernotat, Brylon Moore, Ava Moore, Ryan Moore, Ellie Moore, Sara Frye, Kenna Brandon, Malachi Brandon, Daxtyn Brandon, Ryker Brandon, Laney Brandon, Kyler Brandon, Bryik Brandon, Bryer Brandon, and Kanon Sanders; and great-great-grandchildren Cheyenne Page and Jaxon Page, Ronan Moore.
Visitation at Poteet’s Funeral Home in Pawnee Friday, Jan 1st, 2021 between 9am-7pm, and Saturday, Jan 2nd, 2021 between 9am-12pm, before the Services at the Eshelman Chapel at the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, OK at 2pm.
