ELVINA MAY EDDINGS
June 1, 1949--September 11, 2020
On September 11, 2020, Elvina Mae (Layton) Eddings completed her journey; the Lord called her home at the age of 71. Elvina was born June 1, 1949 to Wayne and Beulah Layton of Pawnee, Oklahoma.
She was joined in marriage with her life partner on September 4, 1982. Elvina attended Skedee Assembly of God Church and thoroughly enjoyed her church family, Bible study, the get-togethers, giving pennies to the children that supported soldiers overseas, and congregating with all who attended.
Elvina loved to spend time with her grand-babies and great grand-babies. She loved to bake, do crafts, crocheting, and crosswords as well as making fudge and divinity for her family and friends.
Elvina is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Lonnie Ray Eddings; her three daughters, Lana Layton of Morrison; Paula Hunt of Morrison; Tina Herring and companion, Kevin of Alexandria, Nebraska; and her little baby boy, Jackie Hunt and wife, Marcia of Ruskin, Nebraska. Elvina leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Elvina is also survived by her sisters, Della Benson of Pawnee; Nellie Young and husband, Larry of Sapulpa; and her brothers, Alvinza Layton and wife, Barbara of Pawnee; Lonnie Layton and Diana of Perry; Duane Layton of Pawnee. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Elvina was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Beulah Layton; brothers, Bill Layton; Marion Layton; Gordon Layton; sister, Verena Layton; and one brother-in-law, Max Benson.
A Celebration of Life for Elvina will be held Monday, September 21, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at the Skedee Assembly of God Church.
Those who loved her are very welcome to attend.
