Our Mom, Ellen Marie(Allen) (Sharp) (Fritchman) Prosek, was born on April 7, 1939 in Goltry, Oklahoma to our Grandparents, Leroy and Mabel Allen and went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2018 in The Living Center in Enid.
Mom was married to our Dad, Donald Sharp, on April 13, 1957 in Pawnee where they lived until Dad passed away in 1989. Mom is survived by all 5 of their kids, James Sharp and his wife, Karen of Narka, Kansas, Debra Porter and her husband, Gerald of Glencoe, Sandra Cearley and her husband, Dwain of Rowlett, Texas, Becky Sharp of Enid, Kenneth Sharp and Dad’s two children, Nancy McConnell and Donald Sharp, Jr. and his wife, Darla of Ralston and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom is also survived by her sisters, Helen Reihm of Mountain View, Missouri, Beulah Duffy and her husband, Warren of Enid, Alfreda Ramsey and her husband, Archie of Sand Springs and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy William and Mabel Allen. Her siblings, Jim Allen, Harvey Allen, George Allen, Emory Allen and her husbands, Donald Sharp, Ray Fritchman and Paul Prosek. Mom was also preceded in death by Dad’s two daughters, Helen Jean Frazier and Vicky Kitchel and two grandchildren.
After Dad passed, Mom went back to school and received her Industrial Technology Certification from Indian Meridian Vo Tech. Mom loved to fish and won numerous awards for her sewing, crocheting and quilting. Mom had a heart for those who were ill. On more than one occasion Mom took the time to sit with others while they transitioned from earth to Heaven, she did not want them to have to make this journey alone.
Mom’s services will be held on Friday May 18, 2018 10:00 A.M. in the Eshelman Chapel on the grounds at Highland Cemetery Pawnee, Oklahoma with burial to follow. Services were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
The family thanks the loving staff of Hospice Circle of Love and the staff at The Living Center for the loving care given to Mom. Mom would be happy knowing that any memorials on her behalf were made to Hospice Circle of Love at 314 S. Third, Enid OK 73701.
Mom had dementia the last several years of her life and was unable to assist with any unreturned sewing/quilting. If you have an item that you think she had, please contact Debbie at 405.612.6549 and we will attempt to help you locate your items.
