Ebony Monique Abington was born to Kelvin Eugene Abington (Buck) and Mercedes Cassandra Newton (Sandy) on August 9, 1982 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ebony was baptized at an early age at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.  She graduated from Union High School in 2000.  She loved cooking, baking and spending time with her children and family - she also shared quite a few secrets with her grandma Rubye.
Ebony was employed with  AT&T where she enjoyed working with her team of coworkers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Ja'Qualyn A. Matthews and Jeremiah M. Matthews, Pawnee, OK (father Jerome Matthews); mother Mercedes Abington, Tulsa, OK, father Kelvin Eugene Abington, Pawnee, OK; two brothers: Mario Elston (Christi), Ponca City, OK, and Emmanuel "Manny" (Nit) Abington, Wichita, KS, two sisters, Destiny Abington, Wichita, KS and Treasure Abington, Stillwater, OK; grandparents A.C. & Ruby Robinson, Tulsa, OK, E.E. Reece III, Houston, TX; aunts: Shaletha and Crystal Newton, Tulsa, OK, Treva Roland (Marvin), Enid, OK, Bobbie Pitts, Stillwater, OK, Shannon Wade, OKC, OK, Norma Smith, St. Louis, MO; uncles: Greg Abington, Enid, OK, Darrell Newton (Marsha), Hope, AR, Frankie and Scottie, Tulsa, OK, godmother: Alicia Jones, Okmulgee, OK, godfather: Danny Webb, Texas and a host of family and friends.  She also leaves her special sisters and brother: Amber Schwind, Tiara Smith, and Trey Steward, and niece Princess Layla.  Also she leaves a special mother Alice Matthews, Tulsa, OK.
Preceding her in death great grandmother Synola Humphrey, grandparents: Sterling Newton, Abraham & Louise Abington; brother: London Blake Abington, niece Charlee Abington, aunt and uncles Roslyn, Antonio "Tony," Jeff and Wesley "Sam."
