Dixie Lucile Wilson was born on the family farm in Masham, Oklahoma February 29, 1928, to Paul Wilson Brien and Lula Viola (Guinn) Brien. She died on August 13, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Her Early education was in Masham and she graduated high school for Ralston. Following graduation, she moved to Ponca City and worked in a drugstore soda fountain. Through a mutual friend she met Rollo Wilson and the two were married in Ponca City on October 4, 1947. In 1949 she began a thirty-five plus years employed as a secretary in the Research and Development division of Continental Oil Company. Outside work she enjoyed crocheting and knitting and painting. She also serves as a pink lady volunteer at the Ponca City Hospital after her retirement.
In 2000, she moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She did short volunteer stints as a pink lady in the Broken Arrow Hospital and a helper at Broken Arrow Neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rollo Wilson of Ponca City, her parents Paul and Lula Brien of Masham, two brothers Gene Brien and J.L. Brien of Pawnee and two sisters Pauline Shaw of Ponca City and Mary Chapman of Oklahoma City. She is survived by her daughter Peggy (Phillip) of Broken Arrow, two grandson Gregory Brooks od Dallas and Matthew Brooks, Sr. of Broken Arrow.
