Daniel Franklin Turner, Jr., age 61, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on February 15, 1958 in Perry, OK. Daniel who was called “Junior” was a longtime resident of Pawnee, OK.
Survivors include his brothers; James Turner of Okemah, Joe Turner and his wife Melissa of Okemah, uncle Daniel Capstick of Fayetteville, AR, Butch Graham, and Wesley Graham of Perry, OK, aunts Janice Hefner, Carleeta Slavens, Wanda Blocker, Regina Sharpton, all of Perry, OK, aunt Kissie Williams of Seattle, WA and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Junior was proceeded in death by his parents, Daniel F. Turner, Sr. and Roberta J. Capstick, maternal grandparents Delaney (D.A.) and Gladys M. Capstick; paternal grandparents Avelina Ward Graham and Frank James Turner.
Junior attended school in Perry, OK and worked most of his adult life as a CDL truck driver, for the City of Perry, and for the Pawnee County District Barn. In his early days, he enjoyed attending rodeos and loved animals. Junior was a beloved uncle and brother who will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
No funeral services will be held as it was Junior’s wish that his estate be used for others, rather than himself. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
