Christopher McAlister

They say the good die young. Welp, at 66, there must have been a decent amount of good in there I’d say. Thanks to Harold and Norma McAlister, since March 11th, 1958 I’ve made my presence known – it’s why you all are here isn’t it? I was an only child til I became the role model for Debbie, Mark, and Jon McAlister. And to prove I was the best, I earned my Eagle, Globe & Anchor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. Stationed in Virginia I met Cheryl and had Jeff and Brian McAlister. Then I decided to make bank in the oil field – til it went bankrupt. Met Pat and gained another son in Rob Hill and a daughter in Lori Battles and had my 3rd son, James (he’s my favorite and also wrote this). Then I went to OSU for Wildlife Biology to be a game warden. But like, a cool one not a harda$$. While waiting for that break I got “The Ponderosa” going and started working at OGE. I liked it well enough to retire from there. Through all this I’ve met and admired so many friends in each phase of my life. Creating memories I’ll cherish, moments we’ve cried laughing, and feeling the love we all deserve. And Masham Baptist Church, what a wonderful little place, it helped me grow in faith and my walk, it gave me lessons and spiritual ponderings. To my grandkids, James III, Makinze, Joshua, Aden, Trent, Reilly, Finley, Nia, and Brody, don’t spend the $20 I left all in once place. Please someone tell those dang Dallas Cowboys to get it together, would ya? Anyways, I got all I needed done here, helped all those who needed me and was called home 2/15/25. Now you all are the ones suffering. I’ll miss you all, even the ones who couldn’t make it here today. See ya later.
