Christel Naomi Bode

Christel Naomi Bode was born on April 1, 1938 in Skedee, Oklahoma to Frank and Christel Heppel. Naomi as she was known by most, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019. Gravesideservices will be officiated by Paul Weece at 10am, on Monday, July 22nd at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
Naomi married her first and only love, Lawrence John Bode, on April 7th, 1956 in Drumright, Oklahoma. The couple soon had two daughters, Rhonda and Leca, and then settled in Stillwater in 1960 to raise their family.
They were happily married for 50 years until Lawrence passed in 2006. Naomi’s passion in life was raising her children and being a homemaker. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and taking care of her flowers.
Naomi loved spending time with her 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She looked forward to family gatherings so she could enjoy all her kids.
Naomi was predeceased by her husband, parents, and three brothers, Donald, James, and Daniel Heppel.
She is survived by 3 brothers, Leslie, Dale, and Jerry Heppel. She is also survived by her daughters Rhonda Houston (husband Tom) of Stillwater, Leca Rickner (husband Stan) of Tulsa. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Chris Houston (wife Kelly)(kids- Kaylee, Allison) of Stillwater; Stephanie Winn (husband Tyler) of Stillwater; Sarah Pittman (husband Mark)(kids-Emma, Hannah, Aubree) of Stillwater; Lindsay Romime (husband Andrew)(child-Parker) of Tulsa; Patrick Farrington of Tulsa
