ChloeAnn Berdina George boarded her final flight to Heaven on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Berdina was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Auntie, Sister, and Friend. Berdina was born in October 20, 1948 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Charley Smith and Velma Peters Smith. Berdina was Pawnee, Otoe, and a member of the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma, as well as a member of the Otoe War Mothers Club. She was raised in Pawnee but graduated from Riverside Indian School in 1967. Berdina had an illustrious career. She began her working for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then transferred to Pawnee DHS where she raised her three children, Charlie, Jo Jo, and Rose. After which, she moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma and began working for the Sac and Fox Nation in various positions before retiring. She then moved to New Town, North Dakota in 2016 and where she worked for as an executive assistant for the 4 Bears Casino and Hotel’s Special Events maintenance department until returning home, back to Oklahoma, on July 11, 2019, to be closer to family. Berdina enjoyed traveling. Her adventures took her throughout the United States, Germany, and France. Her fondest memories during her career and travels were all the amazing people she met and encountered and visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all her nieces and nephews. Berdina is preceded in death by: parents- Charley and Velma Peters Smith; grand parents- Jim and Minnie Peters; and her brother, Kenneth Smith. Berdina leaves behind a wonderful testament to her life. Her Children: Charles and Roxanne George, Joseph George, and RoseAnn George; her Grandchildren: Andrew Rice, Jamie and Eagleboy Whiteshield, Anastashia George, Kristen George, Samantha George, Victoria George, Cadence George, Dallas George, Joseph A. George, Nolan Talton, and Nykita Talton. Her Great-Grandchildren: Charlie Ray Whiteshield, Rayelee Ann Whiteshield, and Andrew Rice, Jr. She is also survived by a multitude of Pawnee, Otoe, and Sac and Fox relatives and will be truly missed by all.
