Cathy Louise Dallas, was born on March 26, 1965, daughter of Mary Ann Sweeney and "Dick" Richard Sweeney. She went to be with the Lord on April 07, 2018.
She married Gene "Dusty" Dallas, on September 6, 2002, and they made their home in the Lone Chimney area, later moving into Pawnee.
Cathy loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and studied the Bible daily. She spoke with God as if with a friend who was standing beside her. Her love of Angels, resulted in a collection of them as statues, plaques, pictures and verses. She enjoyed an artistic talent of interior decorating, with beautifully arranged and coordinated themes, always including her Angels, the paintings and pictures of the Lord Jesus, and photos of her loved ones. Cathy loved God's creations, often sitting on the back porch to look into the starry sky, watching clouds and finding beauty in the wonders of His work.
She loved cooking, especially holiday meals and her secret recipe for delicious fudge. Her greatest joy and focus was to take special, loving care of her husband, Dusty. His love for her was just as deep, and caring; and they would lean on one another, and the Lord, through many medical trials. Cathy endured health concerns, but always found strength in her faith, to battle the pain, and find hope.
Surviving Cathy are her daughter, Theresa Ruby, and her two chidren, Naazhim, and Damara, of North Carolina; a son, Michael Hutchinson, and his daughters, Kammie and Kyla., and their mother Kelsey, all of Pawnee.
Preceeding Cathy in death were her parents, Mary Ann and "Dick" Richard Sweeney; and her former husband, Don Ware Hutchinson. Don's brother, Dale Hutchinson, Maryland, survived him and remains a special friend to Cathy.
Cathy was a devout Christian, with Catholic beginnings, and was very outspoken that she loved the Lord, in which ever faith He was named. She is now "sleeping peacefully in the palm of His hand." Cathy had said that when the night terrors were bad and she could not sleep she would find peace thinking and dreaming of being curled up in the palm of God's hand, wearing a white gown and robe, sleeping in the light of God's Love. CATHY, I WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU.. 'TILL WE MEET AGAIN, LOVE DUSTY.
Funeral Services will be held at the Eshelman Chapel, Pawnee Highland Cemetary, north of Pawnee, at 2.00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018.
