Carol Marie Krout left this world to join her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was born June 29, 1942 to Grace and Griff Jones in Mehan, Oklahoma. Carol grew up around Glencoe where she played basketball and softball for the Glencoe Panthers. After graduating high school in May of 1960, Carol married her high school sweetheart Dale Krout on December 31, 1960 in Maramec, OK.Carol lived in Billings, OK for a short time before residing in Ponca City where she raised her family of three children. Carol enjoyed crafting, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and having her family together. She loved watching her favorite teams play ball including; the Glencoe Panthers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and her most favorite of all The Oklahoma Sooners. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and feeding the birds, of which her favorite was The Red Cardinal. After her time in Ponca City she resided in Glencoe on ‘The Farm’ which she and Dale purchased in 1995. ‘The Farm’ was where she enjoyed her most favorite pastime, spending time with her pride and joy; her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Carol was preceded in death by, her parents Grace and Griff Jones; sisters Viola Ethrigde, Velma Nash, Lola Boyer and Freddie Gant; son-in-law, Troy Morton; late husband, Dale Krout; and numerous other close relatives and friends. She is survived by one sister, Roberta Sharpton; brother-in-law, Tommy Gant; her three children; son, Bobby Krout and wife, Marjorie of Ponca City; daughter Tonya Morton of Glencoe; son, Andrew Krout and wife Cinda of Stillwater; her pride and joy, her five grandchildren, Whitney King of Ponca City; Brittney Krout and fiancé, Josh Swain of Ponca City; Shelby Krout of Ponca City; Cannon and Coleman Krout of Stillwater; three great grandchildren; Trevor, Daniel, and Rylee of Ponca City.
