Bobby Gene Mccosar

Bobby Gene McCosar, 79, passed from this life on July 26, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Clarehouse Hospice Facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bobby was born on March 14, 1940, he was the son of James and Vivian (McCombs) McCosar. Bobby grew up in Tulsa and attended Seneca Indian School and Haskell Schools. Following high school Bobby attended Okmulgee Tech. Following the completion of his education, Bobby began working as a painter. He was worked throughout Eastern Oklahoma for many years.
Bobby enjoyed painting arts and crafts and always loved to visit. Telling stories was one of his favorite things to do. Bobby would often just strike up a conversation with anyone that would talk back. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and being around horses. Bobby also served his country in the United States Marines.
Survivors include two children Kenneth McCosar and his wife Recia of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Cody Carroll and Katie-Laine Thornton of Smyrna, Tennessee; siblings James McCosar of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Arthur McCosar of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Evelyn Tofpi of Carnegie, Oklahoma, grandchildren Desmond, Shana, Kale, Kenna, Rutledge; great grandchildren Deakon, Kaylani and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Sue McCosar.
Wake services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, from 6-8pm at the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel with Duane Pratt officiating.
