Bertha Jane Woods, age 71, passed from this life on Sunday, June 25th, 2017 in Stillwater, OK, surrounded by her loving husband and immediate family. She was born on March 23rd, 1946 in Shidler, OK to Francis and Juanita (Riley) Eaton. She grew up on a dairy farm near Grainola, OK and graduated from Shidler High School in 1964. On February 14th, 1964, she married Bobby Gene Badley. To that union, 5 children were born. Bob preceded her in death in 1998. She was married to Donald Gene Woods on January, 23rd 1999. They moved to Pawnee, OK in the summer of 2001, where she resides until her passing.




Bertha enjoyed reading, oil painting, quilting, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and most recently, she wrote and self-published a book of her own poetry.




She is survived by her husband, Don Woods, of the home, her beloved pets, Gus and Kitty, her daughters Patty Gordon and husband Cliff, of Pawnee, Terri Vogele and husband Austin of Ponca City, OK, Mary Goodman and husband, Paul, of Allen, OK, sons Brad Woods and wife, Christie, of Ponca City, John Badley, of Ponca City, Will Badley, and wife, Debbie, of Winfield, KS, sister Cathy Archambo, and husband, Mark, of Bartlesville, OK, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.




She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul Lee Eaton, daughter Jessie Badley.




Services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, June 30th, at the Glencoe Methodist Church, with Rev. Ralph Wangler and Rev. Charles Richey. Interment will follow at the Newkirk Cemetery.
