Benjamin Robert Stilwell

Benjamin Robert Stilwell, 84, went to be with his lord, Saturday November 4, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side. Ben was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma October 17, 1933 to Ellis and Ruth (Houston) Stilwell, he was raised and schooled in the Tulsa area. Ben was very proud to have served his country as a United States Marine honorably Discharged in 1952. Ben met and married his first wife Barbara, four sons and one daughter were born to this union, after Barbara passed away Ben met Shirley Ann Lloyd and they were married October 17, 1979. Ben was most proud of his family, all of his children and what they have accomplished in their own lives. Ben loved to joke around with his family and friends, he was a true family man and just loved to be with his family, passing on wisdom to the grand kids and great grand kids. some of Ben's fondest memories were spending time with the boys at the rodeos, and the horses in the kitchen and fun in the boat. Ben had worked since he was nine years old always having a job, he retired as a painter taking great pride in the work that he did. Ben truly loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Ben is survived by his wife Shirley of the home, four sons; Robert Ellis Stilwell and wife Camie, Charles Mitchell Stilwell, Jeffery Lee Stilwell and wife Rene, and Kevin Lee Stilwell, one daughter Laura Lynn Tannhill, two step-sons Darryl Lane and wife Margaret, and Michael Lane, twenty-four grand children, and twenty-three great grand children and other relatives and a host of friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his Parents, his first wife Barbara, baby son Tony and son Eddie, one sister Pat.

Services will be Wednesday 2:00 P.M. November 8, 2017 in the Poteet Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kirby Stevens officiating. Services were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, friends can leave a memory for the family at www.poteetfuneralhome.com
