Barbara Ellen (Giles) Clasby

Barbara Ellen (Giles) Clasby was born February 28, 1973 at 9:50 am in Oswego, Kansas to Beverly Joan (Fugate) Giles and James Douglas Giles.  She passed away at home on Thursday, September 15th, 2016 at the age of 43.  Barb grew up in Pawnee and graduated high school in 1991.   She met Phillip shortly after graduation and they were married on August 18, 1993.  During high school she worked as a car hop at Sonic.  She began that career in 1989 and worked there for 18 years.  She left Sonic to start another career that led her to work at Snak-n-Pak and BJ's for Gary Vance for 6 years.  Later, the Tribal Development Corporation took over owner ship and Barb continued employment for BJ's for one and ½ years up until her death.Phillip and Barb made their home in Pawnee.  She was very excited about the upcoming birth of her first grandbaby, Skyla.  Kayla Ann is due to give birth at the end of October.  Barb is survived by her husband, Phillip Clasby, three children Heather Clasby and soon to be wife Alyssa Ullery of Blackwell, Kayla Clasby and Justin Rollins of Pawnee, Gage Clasby of Pawnee, brothers Allen and James Giles of Pawnee, nephew Grant Giles of Pawnee, Mother in law, Kathy Clasby, sister in law Charity Clasby and Darrel Sumpter of Stillwater, and all the wonderful family and loving friends!  She was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Beverly.She was a funny and caring person.  She was very intelligent, loved everyone unconditionally and never judged.  Barb always had a smile to go along with that smart-mouth of hers.  That laugh was infectious and you knew she was up to something.  Her favorite hobbies were fishing, planting flowers, and her favorite color was purple. We will never forget her.  She will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.   Please join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday 21, 2016 at the Roam Chief Building in Pawnee.  Service will be at 1:00 pm.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Tuesday 9:00 to 7:00 at Poteet Funeral Home in Pawnee.
