Anna Mae Denney

Anna Mae Denney was born on November 6, 1929, in Morrison, Oklahoma, to Louis Jelinek and Lola Swearingen Jelinek. She passed from this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, having reached the age of 93 years. She married Paul Terence Denney on December 23, 1950, in Morrison, Oklahoma, and celebrated 62 years of marriage. They made their home in the Watchorn area north of Morrison.

A lifelong homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends and welcoming dozens of people into her home for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles, watching Thunder basketball and crocheting, a skill she put to use making baby blankets for all of her newborn great-grandchildren. Anna Mae was a member of Masham Baptist Church.

Anna Mae is survived by sister Barbara Carter; children David Denney and his wife, Mona Darlene Robbins and her husband, Stan and Randy Denney

11 grandchildren Tracie Stanford and her husband Jimmy, Lynsie Backlund and her husband Bruce, Shelby Goodin and her husband Greg, Coy Burns, Ty Burns and his wife Staci, Becky Owens and her husband Daniel, Greg Robbins and his wife Jun, Jonathan Robbins and his wife Keli, Karri Pelfrey and her husband Ryan, Kynna Smith, Tray Denney and his wife Destiny, 25 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, plus a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lola Jelinek, three brothers, Dick Jelinek, Frank Jelinek and Joe Jelinek, a sister, Betty Wallingford, her husband, Paul Denney and her daughter in law, Erin Denney.

Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at Masham Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Masham Baptist Church or Operation Christmas Child.
